Welcome to the City of Bardstown web site. We are a town of tradition, hospitality and history. We have welcomed visitors since the 1790's. Some were royal -- princes and queens. Others were artists and composers. All were made to feel at home. Today, many one-time visitors take their memories of their "Bardstown experience" back home to enjoy for a lifetime. Many others return to renew friendships and to enjoy again and again our southern hospitality.
