The Community Prevention Center (CPC) was established in 1998 after the Prevention Advocates for Tomorrow's Health (PATH) Coalition, in collaboration with many city, county, and health agencies, were awarded the Kentucky Incentives for Prevention (KIP) Grant. In 2002, the CPC became a Kentucky Agency for Substance Abuse Policy (KY-ASAP) site. Our goal is to reduce alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use among our youth. To reach our goals, the help and support from public and private agencies, faith and business communities, schools, and law enforcement, medical and criminal justice systems, and parent and civic organizations is vital. Creating healthy behavioral, environmental, and legal changes takes time, community involvement, and dedication. If you are a concerned parent or citizen of the community and would like to become more involved in our efforts, or for more information about our agency, please contact Tonda Luckett, Director of the Community Prevention Center at 220 North Fifth Street, Bardstown, KY 40004. |
